How Are We Supposed To Raise Clean Kids?

You guys remember that commercial by OMO where they say DIRT IS GOOD? Obviously that campaign hasn’t aged well given the current circumstances but apparently they did some research and found that “…learning through messy play is essential for a child’s development”
So how are we supposed to raise clean kids? Heck the boy goes out for 2 minutes and as soon as he walks into the door we all shout SANITIZE!

happy birthday son!

“you okay?” I remember asking my dear Grace.

uh huh – She replied. She forgets I know her too well…and I knew she was lying. Her stomach was the biggest I’d ever seen it. Her face was the prettiest I’d ever seen it. She had just had her hair done.

‘You?’ She asked

‘Me what?” I retorted

‘are you okay?’

I responded with a coward’s smile. I was not okay! I was so damn nervous!! Bro, you remember the morning of the day you got chopped and screwed? You remember that ka-tension you had but you wouldn’t dare show it lest they say you’re not ready to be a man? Kitu kama iyo.

Young parents & Social media

On June 29th 2016, I joined the rest of the world in marking World Social Media Day. If you didn’t know, that’s exactly how big social media has become. Soon enough some of us will start protesting asking the government to give us a public holiday on that day.

So anyway, on the next day while running some errands in town, I met a childhood friend of mine. He was just as excited to see me and my kitambi as he was about now being an uncle.

“Congrats mse! I heard you got a son and you blog all about it?” He quipped

 “yeah, yeah..I just want to give people like you a heads-up of what it takes.”

“Eeer, don’t you think that’s dangerous? Putting his innocent life all over the internet like that?” He asked.
